Weird production,Coven Garden has the habit of this!!Magnificent performances by whole cast and Pappano spectacular conducting the great orchestra.Highly recomend this performance to anyone who loves the RING!!!

Most animated conducting of this opera Ive seen since Mitropulos at the Old MET.Pappano is fantastic. I could do without the sets and costumes, but they dont detract too much..no nuclear plants like some other productions, but the Walsungs must have a problem lugging those fur coats around.Terfel and Gasteen outstanding,pity that in a drawn out Ring over many years he never did the Wanderer, and she didnt do the Gotterdamerung Brunnhilde.Lucky folks at Covent Garden,to have such a great cast.The eight screaming sisters do an extremely exciting Ride of the Valkyries -they actually seem scared witless at the impending rage of their father. A Walkure to hear and watch over and over. Top quality picture and sound
